A penis extender is a device which uses traction to stretch the penis. This method has been used for centuries all around the world in different cultures for various parts of the body. Stretching the neck continues to be a significant rite of passage in many tribes throughout Thailand whereas ear stretching has become a popular fashion statement in western civilisation. Also, medical practitioners use traction as a preferred method to elongate limbs which have a growth deformity. However, whilst increased length of the penis may be the main focus of the device, it could not be said that this is the only thing which will grow.
- Penis size – The extender stretches with a measured amount of pressure exerted equally around the penis. As the device pulls, microscopic tears are produced in the tissue of the penis although they are so small, they cannot be felt or seen. Other treatments
Of course Penis extenders are not the only form of penis enlargement. Surgery or penis enlargement pills are also available.

Penis Enlargement Surgery
There are penis enlargement surgeries which will create a permanently longer penis. One of the surgeries available severs the ligaments which hold the penis in place before stretching the penis to the desired length. In the same way that the penis traction device causes the body to stimulate new tissue growth , the penis heals with increased length after the surgery.
Unfortunately, with this method of treatment, the level of invasiveness during the operation can lead to nerve endings being damaged around the groin. It is these nerve endings that regulate the blood flow to the penis during erection. Therefore if these nerves are damaged, as is what sometimes happens, the patient may have a longer penis but may consequently suffer from erectile dysfunction. In some rare cases, the surgery can actually result in the penis becoming shorter.
It is therefore considered by many, that the most effective way to lengthen a man’s penis with little to no risk involved is the penis extender.
